About

Rites of Passage is a PVPVE (Player vs Player vs Environment) MUD where Good and Evil are locked in eternal war. Hunt powerful monsters for legendary loot, then defend it from enemy players hunting you. Every expedition into dangerous territory carries the thrill of both PvE challenge and PvP risk.

The environment is deadly - 80+ areas filled with creatures guarding valuable equipment, quests that reward the bold, and a remort system that lets you grow stronger with each life. But the real tension comes from other players. That raid boss you're fighting? The enemy faction might be watching, waiting for you to weaken before they strike. That rare gem you just looted? You'll need to make it home alive.

This is a PK MUD. Combat between Good and Evil players isn't just allowed - it's encouraged. Killing enemies earns warpoints, experience, and their gear. Climb the ranks. Make the topten list. Build your reputation through conquest. If you want the risk of PvP combined with challenging environment combat, you've found your home.

Getting Started

1. Connect to the server using telnet or a MUD client
2. Create your character (one character per player)
3. Provide a valid email address for validation
4. Check your email for your temporary password
5. Log on and you can start to play!

How to Connect

Connection Methods:

• Windows: Open Command Prompt and type: telnet play.ropmud.com 4443
• Mac/Linux: Open Terminal and type: telnet play.ropmud.com 4443
• MUD Client: Use Mudlet, TinTin++, or zMUD
